The Northern Village of Sandy Bay is inviting applications from qualified persons for the position of Fire Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Fire Chief will be responsible for the operational oversight of all related works associated with the Fire Department and to ensure that trained volunteers are available in the event of emergency responses. The Fire Chief will be required to participate and assist at emergency incidents.
Required skills and qualifications include:
· Minimum of five (5) years experience of fire service.
· Class 5 Drivers License with a satisfactory driver's abstract required.
· Ability to pass a medical examination.
· Ability to motivate and lead personnel, maintain discipline, promote harmony and
cooperate with other officials.
· Computer knowledge in order to prepare reports.
· Is consistent, fair and has strong ethics and integrity.
A monthly remuneration will be paid based on experience and knowledge.
